The Registered Manager Role Overview:  

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a respected, values-driven care provider to recruit a Registered Manager for a small, modern and well-run residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities in Huddersfield. With a Good CQC rating, an experienced staff team, and strong senior leadership support, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a rewarding leadership role where you can truly shape the service.

As Registered Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a modern, homely residential service. You’ll lead a committed staff team, maintain high standards of care, and ensure the service continues to deliver truly person-centred support.   This is a hands-on, visible leadership role, and is ideal for a manager who enjoys being close to the service and making a real difference.

The Registered Manager Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up) within Learning Disability residential care
• Excellent working knowledge of CQC standards and compliance
• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
• A genuine passion for person-centred care
• Strong leadership and communication skills with staff, families and professionals

Children’s Registered Manager

Location: Runcorn

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Registration Bonus

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Children’s Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed EBD home in Runcorn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong track record of success and genuine plans for expansion.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced Operations Director/Responsible Individual with over 15 years of experience in opening and developing Children’s Residential Homes—four of which have achieved Outstanding ratings with Ofsted.

The current staff team is already in place and brings a wealth of experience across EBD, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and therapeutic care, giving you a strong foundation to build on.

With ambitious growth plans to open an additional 4–5 homes within the next 18 months, this role offers a clear pathway to progress into a Responsible Individual position, alongside long-term job security and career development.

We also offer flexibility, with the option of a hybrid working approach prior to registration, and full autonomy to shape your team—leading on recruitment and implementing training aligned with your vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations
• Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team
• Drive a positive, therapeutic environment for young people

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager in children’s residential care
• NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Strong understanding of EBD and relevant childcare legislation
• Proven leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Full right to work in the UK (no restrictions)

The Role
